Well, where do I begin.  It has been 11 days since I posted last and we have traveled 500 more miles north and stayed in  2 different cities.  We left Lansing and headed to Holland.  Wow, what a lovely city.  Just as the name suggests, wooden shoes,  Dutch Village and Windmill.  While in Holland I took my first Sand Dune ride.  Boy, did I enjoy that.  I was even more surprised no sand in my face and or course none in my shoes.  We took a motorcoach tour to Gerald Ford Presidential Museum then lunch at the Grand Rapids Brewing Company then on to one of the most beautiful sculpture gardens I have seen.

After 5 days in Holland we traveled further north to Traverse City just in time for the National Cherry Festival.   Everything was made with cherries.  We did the Cherry Pancake Breakfast Saturday morning then stayed for  the Air Show with included the Thunderbirds.  Now that was impressive as to how they can fly that fast and be in control.    Since we were staying in Traverse City 6 days we had alot of trips planned.  We took a motorcoach to the old fishing village of Leland.  There we saw the lighthouse and museum.  On our way back we stopped at a Cherry Orchard for some wine tasting. Yes, we had some Cherry wine, and no I did not buy any of that.  Actually I did not like it but did buy some of their Riesling.  Now that was good.  The next day we went to a Native American Pow Wow.
Then off for some Family owned and operated Ice Cream store.  Named Moomers Ice Cream.  Now that was the way to end the day...   Ice cream was delicious.  During our free day we went to the Music House Museum.  That was very impressive.  Wait to see the pictures.

Well, we have arrived in Sault Ste. Marie for 3 days.  So my next post will show you all of that city.

Below are some of my pictures along the way and towns we visited.  I hope you like them as much as I did seeing and taking them.....

Yes, our trip in now 1/2 over and I am like a little kid.... More please More please......

  1. That looks like so much fun! I bet the pictures pale in comparison to actually being there though. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself and are able to take such amazing photo memories :)
