Death Valley National Park

We left the RV in Hemet and booked a 2 night stay in Death Valley at Stovepipe Wells.  Death Valley is unique, mountains, salt flats, sand dunes, desert and craters.  There is a gorgeous assortment of colors in the mountains, from the many minerals found here.  We visited Scotty's Castle and retreat for the wealthy, Ubehebe Crater, Rhyolite Ghost Town, Zabriskie Point, Artist's Palate, Badwater Basin (salt flats), Mesquite Dunes, and Artist's Drive.  We ate fabulous breakfasts and dinners at Stovepipe Wells and had a fabulous lunch at the upscale Furnace Creek Inn. Since we are out in the desert, most everything was expensive, like diesel at 5.759 per gallon.
