U.S. Olympic Training Center

My Olympic Champion
We toured the U. S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  This facility is one that many of the summer Olympians train at.  We saw the dormitory buildings and many of the training areas.  This is a huge complex that takes up 37 acres. We saw the Olympic pool, but they drain it for 3 of the 4 years between Olympics.  They were doing some repairs on it when we were there.  We saw the shooting range, the basketball, gymnastic, and wrestling areas.  We also saw the medical center, the fitness areas, as well as the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.  This free tour was well worth the long walks between buildings.
Fact:  The third most popular event in the Olympics are shooting sports.
