Trinidad and Arcata, California

We left Eureka and drove 25 miles north to Trinidad to see their famous lighthouse and view of the bay and ocean. Afterwards we walked Clam Beach and we drove back south to Arcata, an upscale college town, home of Humboldt State University.  While in Arcata, we visited Cafe Mokka.  There you can have pastries, lunch, coffees and all of those fancy drinks just like you can get at Starbucks.  There is a little difference though.  They have a Finnish Spa with 16 little cabins with hot tubs.  You have your latte, then take a walk through the garden and take a 30 minute dip in an outdoor hot tub.  We rented towels for 50 cents and paid the $9.00 each for a soak.  It was exhilarating, soaking in a fence enclosed area, with the trees and the sky above .

Relaxing at Clam Beach, but I'll warm her up in a hot tub at our next stop
